Biography

Mrs Leticia Ayoola-Daniels is a lawyer and seasoned administrator. She is the Director, Administration of Criminal Justice and Reform Department of the Federal Ministry of Justice, and has served in several capacities for the Ministry in the promotion of Criminal Justice Reform in Nigeria.The includes- Secretary, Presidential Committee on Correctional Reform and Decongestion;
Programme Director-FCT Custodial and Non Custodial Sentencing;
Programme Director, Access to Justice for Children amongst others.

Some of her successes include organizing and seeing to the successful inauguration of FMOJ/Unicef Justice for Children Coordination forum; responsible for the review of the Borstal Institutions and Remand Centres Act, LFN 2004 which led to the development of the Children and Youth Correctional Institutions Bill, 2023; Development of Adjudication Guidelines for Children and Young Offenders within FCT, 2022; Developed the FCT Custodial and Non-Custodial Sentencing Guidlines; facilitated the launch of Virtual Court Rooms at Correctional centres; Organising several workshops on Criminal and Correctional refoms including providing technical support; facilitated the upgrading of the skill acquisition Centre, Keffi where about 35 inmates have been trained on tailoring, shoe making & barbing; Publication of the Annual Magazine on Correctional Justice Reform.

Leticia Ayoola-Daniels is a serving member on various technical committees and has gained experiences on several national and global engagements.
