Helping Juveniles

Our comprehensive approach involves raising awareness and promoting sensitization among juveniles regarding the dangers and risks associated with hard drugs. Recognizing the vulnerability of young individuals to substance abuse, we strongly believe in educating them about the detrimental effects of these substances on their physical and mental health, relationships, and overall well-being. By providing accurate information, fostering open dialogues, and implementing targeted prevention programs, we strive to empower juveniles with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions and resist the allure of hard drugs.
Education

Scholarships

We establish scholarship programs specifically designed for children residing in IDP Camps, offering them opportunities for educational advancement and access to quality learning. Through these initiatives, we aim to alleviate the barriers faced by these children, enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations and unlock their full potential. By providing financial support, mentorship, and resources, we strive to empower them with the necessary tools for a brighter future, fostering their personal growth and facilitating their integration into society.

Soup Kitchen

The implementation of the soup kitchen program has been introduced as a formal initiative to provide regular and scheduled meals to children residing in IDP camps. This program has been designed with the primary objective of addressing the nutritional needs of these children by offering them nourishing food at designated intervals. By ensuring access to nutritious meals, we aim to enhance their overall well-being and alleviate food insecurity within the IDP camps. Through the soup kitchen program, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of these children, promoting their health and ensuring their basic sustenance in a structured and systematic manner.

Why We Need You

Who is the founder of the Buni Yadi Foundation?

The Buni Yadi Foundation was founded by Niyi Ayoola-Daniels now a lawyer, who while a teenager in Secondary School was a victim and survivor of false criminal accusation several years ago in Buni Yadi village, which was then in the old Borno State (now Yobe State) of Nigeria. After experiencing his own traumatic ordeal and overcoming it, Niyi felt a deep sense of compassion and a calling to make a positive difference in the lives of others, particularly the children in Buni Yadi and beyond.

What is the origin story of the Buni Yadi Foundation?

The Foundation's roots trace back to Niyi's personal journey of healing and transformation. Learning of the tragic murder of 59 students in Buni Yadi stirred memories of his own trauma there. Despite anguish, Niyi emerged as a beacon of hope, shifting from victim to catalyst for change. Fueled by compassion, his vision extended beyond past traumas, recognizing dire conditions for out-of-school children. The Buni Yadi Foundation embodies his vision, aiming to provide welfare, education, and justice. Niyi and his wife Leticia officially founded the foundation on April 29, 2021, driving a mission of hope and transformation for out-of-school youth. Through outreach, scholarships, and compassion, the foundation offers brighter futures. Niyi's journey is a testament to the power of compassion, inspiring change in Buni Yadi and beyond. How does the Buni Yadi Foundation support children's education and health?

The BYF-Scholarship Programme is a project aimed at empowering internally displaced children in Nigeria through educational opportunities. Thirteen (13) children from the Durumi IDP Camp, who expressed their desire for education, have been carefully chosen to be beneficiaries of this initiative. The selection process considered their individual aspirations and the potential impact that education can have on their lives. Through this scholarship programme, these deserving children will receive support and resources to pursue their educational goals, fostering their personal growth and providing them with a pathway towards a brighter future.

What Achievements has the Foundation made?

On November 6th, 2021, the Buni Yadi Foundation Soup Kitchen was launched at an IDP Camp in Abuja, providing meals, toiletries, and medication to 220 children. Additionally, support extended to the Area 1 IDP Camp, benefitting around 500 children with nourishing meals and essential items, addressing immediate needs.
